FRIDAY-FUN - special class (“Yin yoga, meditation and journaling”)

Friday-fun are classes with special themes that we run once a month. You may participate in all four or only single sessions; however taking part in all of them will give you a better all-round experience. In the autumn of 2022 classes are held on the following dates: 16/9, 21/10, 18/11 and 9/12. Time: 17:00-19:00

Theme 9/12: “Yin yoga, meditation and journalling”

The last Friday fun of the year is a calm class where we shift our focus from asanas to the more meditative part of our yoga practice. Take some time to pause and reflect in stillness when the end of the year is approaching.

The class will be a combination of the following:

  • Yin yoga: calm yoga asanas to release tension and turn your attention inward.
  • Guided meditation: to come back to yourself and to the present moment. We will try both seated and walking meditation.
  • Journalling: listen inwards in stillness and reflect on yourself, your life and this year. The teacher will give you some questions and you write the answers in your notebook. You write only for yourself, with complete honesty and without any pressure to write well.

Bring: a pen, a notebook or some sheets of paper, warm pullover and socks.

The class is open to all levels of yoga practitioners but not suitable to complete beginners; you don’t need to have any experience of yin yoga or meditation in particular, but some experience of yoga practice will be needed in order for the class to be meaningful for you.
