NEWSLETTER NOV/DEC 2025

It's a cliché - but oh how time flies when you're having fun. We don't have many weeks left of 2025 and the festive season is approaching fast. Over the past six months, both the shala and the square outside have been given a makeover and now all the scaffolding has finally been removed so that our entrance is reachable again. We also have a new neighbour - the gym M95 Fitness - and it feels less empty as there are more people going in of the stairs feel now. Inside the shala, the new interior has made it more pleasant and tidy.Joachim and Helena have made sure we have better mat storage and soon we will have bolsters available too.
The last months of the year are usually a cosy and festive time with social events at the shala. During the Christmas and New Year holidays, we run a special schedule, and we hope to arrange a special start to the spring semester with a KICK-OFF weekend on 10–11 January. For this to become a reality, we kindly ask you to send us your requests and ideas for workshops or themes on things you would like to explore in your yoga practice. Please email us as soon as possible so that we can make plans! Already before Christmas there are fun events coming up which we hope you will want to attend:
ANNUAL BRUNCH - on Sunday 7th December after the guided primary series class, we invite you to our yearly pot-luck brunch. This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet and get to know all shala members outside of the yoga practice. Family and partners are of course also welcome. Register in advance and let us know what you are bringing to the buffet. Read more here
CHARITY CLASS - a chance to give bak and to end the year in the spirit of giving. On Thursday 4th December, Helena holds a donation-based class on the theme of stretching, where all proceeds go directly to the organisation V-Care in Mysore, India, which we have supported for many years. If you can't attend the class, you are welcome to make a contribution anyway. Read more and register here
CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR SCHEDULE
The autumn schedule runs until 20th December after which we have special opening hours until the spring semester starts on 12th January. You can already take a sneak a peek at the Christmas & New Year schedule here and it will also be posted on the schedule page closer in time. Remember to always scroll to the bottom of the page to see the temporary schedule changes so you don't miss out on whether we are closed or if there has been any other change. The page is updated regularly.
NEW COURSES 2026

That's all for now. The next newsletter will be distributed in early 2026 with more information about the spring semester. But it's a long time until then, so please stay updated between newsletters via the website and our social media (links in the menu above). We would also like to remind everyone of our rules of conduct that we ask you to follow when you come to class - please read them here. If you have any questions, please get in touch, but remember that we do not read/reply to emails outside office hours or on weekends. If you need the door code, please email at least 24 hours before your visit.
