 This class is part of a 'mini-immersion series' taking place on three sepa
 rate occasions in the autumn of 2024 (Sundays after Mysore class). Partici
 pants get a chance to delve deeper into the role of the breath in yoga asa
 na practice\, as well as for their general well-being. During each of the 
 three different sessions\, we explore the anatomy of the breath\, the func
 tion and importance of bandha (body locks)\; we try different breathing ex
 ercises/pranayama in stillness and movement. \nEach class has a special th
 eme that strives to give the participants inspiration and new insights int
 o the importance of the breath for physical and spiritual part of the yoga
  practice. The goal is to deepen the participants' understanding and knowl
 edge of the function of the breath as well as the basic principles of yoga
  as practice and philosophy. The theme of the first session is “breath &am
 p\; bandha”.\nThe classes contain both easier and more advanced exercises 
 and are open to all levels of yoga practitioners except complete beginners
 . One can take part in individual classes\, but attending all three occasi
 ons will be the most beneficial. Each class ends with a guided relaxation.
